Schedule:
This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Candidates must be available to consistently work these scheduled days.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care and hospital operations. Responsibilities include: 

• Providing attentive care for boarding animals 
• Maintaining a clean and organized hospital environment (cleaning, laundry, and general upkeep) 
• Safely handling and restraining patients 
• Administering medications and filling prescriptions as directed 
• Assisting veterinary technicians and doctors with treatments and procedures 
• Supporting special projects and daily hospital needs with professionalism and positivity 

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED (required) 
• Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary medicine (preferred) 
• Friendly, professional, and effective communication skills with clients and team members 
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (including wiggly patients!) 
• Comfort working in a veterinary environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases
