SUMMARY:
Director of Hotel Operations oversees a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the optimal performance and profitability of hotel operations. As the Senior Leader, the Director of Hotel Operations is tasked with setting strategic goals, developing policies, and leading a team of leaders, managers and staff members. This position requires a blend of leadership, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry to deliver a luxury guest experience while driving growth and operational efficiency. This role is a hands-on day to day visible leadership role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience, including senior-level leadership
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Knowledge of hotel management systems
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
• In-depth understanding of hospitality industry trends
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Operations
• Provide hands-on, visible leadership across all hotel operations in a multi-unit resort environment
• Oversee day-to-day performance to ensure smooth, efficient, and guest-focused operations
• Lead, coach, and develop department heads, managers, and staff to maintain a high-performing team culture

Financial & Strategic Management
• Develop and implement short- and long-term business strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Monitor operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth

Guest Experience & Service Standards
• Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction throughout all departments
• Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Implement and oversee quality control programs to maintain service excellence


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide leadership and oversight to department leaders to include; Front Office, Guest Services, Bell Services, Transportation, Facilities, Spa, Housekeeping, and Recreation.
