SUMMARY
The Product Compliance Regulatory Manager, Chemical Inventory is responsible for ensuring Company’s Chemical Inventory is accurate, complete, and reliable for risk intelligent decision making and reporting. The individual in this position is responsible for using expert judgment to determine whether actions, decisions and processes comply with laws, regulations, standards, or requirements. The Product Compliance Regulatory Manager, Chemical Inventory is also responsible for exercising independent judgment and discretion when performing all his/her job duties, including with respect to mentoring, developing, and managing direct reports and other Product Compliance team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job.
- Serves as the Product Compliance Department’s business owner of the company’s chemical inventory and chemical management system.
- Leads and participates in cross-functional go-to-market and other strategic teams; communicates regulatory requirements and impact of regulations to cross-functional team members; provides solutions/suggestions to ensure compliance while balancing risks and benefits.
- Develops chemical inventory management processes, policies, audits chemical products and ingredients for compliance risks.
- Oversees the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, as needed.
- Monitors new and changing regulations and coordinates with internal stakeholders to develop strategies to address impacts to products, operations, and/or testing requirements.
- Facilitates and provides support for regulatory performance goals of direct reports.
- Supervises team members in a manner that enables growth and success through feedback, training, and encouragement. Establishes performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance reviews to ensure that team members understand how their job duties support the company’s mission and have the right tools/resources to do their jobs well. Uses independent judgment to ensure that team members follow company policy and maintain a safe work environment by encouraging safe practices and promptly resolving violations, including initiating, or recommending rewards and discipline as needed.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Adheres to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location during normal business hours.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
An individual qualified for this job must be able to:
- Creatively identify solutions to complex challenges and deliver practical results aligned with the Company’s strategy and culture.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of chemistry, biology, and the natural sciences.
- Operate a computer – PC proficiency; ability to use specialized chemical inventory management software.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of applicable domestic and international environmental and health regulations.
- Demonstrate a current knowledge of consumer protection-related laws and regulations.
