Job Description
Field Application Engineer
To thrive in this role, you should be an independent and organized individual with a natural curiosity and excellent communication skills. A genuine interest or passion for robotics and technology is highly desirable.
This position is located in Carlisle, PA. The role is hands-on directly supporting the customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, including electronics, motors, and cabling, ensuring optimal functionality of the robot fleet.
- Work hands-on with electromechanical systems in a shop environment, contributing to the efficient operation of the robots.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of the robotic systems.
- Administer Linux systems, particularly adept at utilizing ssh, grep, and working on the command line.
- Undertake office IT administration tasks, such as setting up PCs, switches, WiFi, VPNs, etc., to facilitate seamless robot operation.
- Demonstrate soldering expertise when necessary, maintaining and repairing electronic components.
- Exhibit a quick learning ability and an exceptional work ethic, adapting swiftly to evolving challenges.
- Must have first-rate attention to detail and be meticulousness in all tasks.
- Capability to provide outstanding customer support, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software is a valuable asset.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and testing methods.
- Aptitude for creating accurate documentation and technical writing, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding.
- Familiarity with databases and proficiency in writing mySQL queries.
- Capability to provide outstanding customer support, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a cohesive and productive work environment.
