Job Description

We are seeking a “Product Engineer” - a developer who crafts products with the finesse of AI working closely with UX designers, software engineers and product owners. Someone who can Utilize cutting-edge AI tools, and create pixel-perfect, accessible and responsive custom web and mobile applications. This role transcends mere syntax. It’s about guiding, refining, and harnessing AI to produce outstanding front-end and full stack solutions. You will be our AI development virtuoso, transforming concepts into flawless digital experiences. You will work on a very agile team and be expected to context shift quickly between projects.

Essential Functions

• Be an AI first developer and build engaging, usable, and accessible UI applications, components, and code libraries for web & mobile technologies using our Design System libraries 
• Innovate in web development by adopting and experimenting with AI-driven techniques 
• Analyze existing software for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement 
• Work with a diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers in a fast-paced environment, with quick iterative cycles 
• Keep up to date with the latest trends in web and mobile engineering and introduce them into projects when appropriate 
• Evangelizing UI/UX front-end best practices and Accessibility for web and mobile 
• Fielding inquiries and requests for support from stakeholders 
• Work with Visa UX leadership team to attract, build, and maintain an engaged team of UX professionals across the globe 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

• Preferred Qualifications 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) Bachelor’s Degree in Design, CS, MIS, UX or equivalent experience
• Experience working on single page applications and/or mobile apps
• HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (Required)
• Experience with modern JavaScript UI frameworks such as Angular and/or React (Required)
• Experience with one server-side web application framework and language like NodeJS (Required)
• Experience with modern mobile app platforms like Flutter or native Android/iOS SDKs (Huge plus)
• Experience implementing pixel perfect layouts and UI components using Angular or React (Required)
• Experience building Single Page Applications that consume API/REST services (Required)
• Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principals involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
• Web Standards and Accessibility Best Practices (Required)
• Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows (Required)
• Knowledge of Figma
• Responsive Design Principles (Required)
• Experience with AI tools for development such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Bolt, Lovable, V0 (Big Plus)
• Experience in building full stack applications using Python, FastAPI, LLMs (Big Plus)
