Grade VII Finance

Overview

The post-holder will provide support to the Finance Manager by effectively and efficiently managing a variety of accounting aspects within the Finance Department. He/she will be an active member of the finance management team and will manage and provide leadership to the various sub departments within the Finance Department.

The post-holder will play an active role in the support and further development of new and existing business systems.

This campaign is confined to management administration staff currently working in Connolly Hospital. 

Essential Criteria

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

 

(a) Have satisfactory experience in an office under the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 at a level not lower than that of Grade V (or equivalent)

And

(b) Membership or working towards membership of a recognised or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent

And

 (c) Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a large complex organisation

And

(d)Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office

 

Post Specific Criteria:

• Demonstrate experience of Finance & budgeting systems in a large organisation.
• Experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data in a large organisation and working independently.
• Knowledge of HSE Financial Regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stress in a constructive manner.
• Proven track record in accurate forecasting.
• Competency in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Access.

Desirible:

• Knowledge of SAP
