About the LIMS team

Our LIMS team is part of the corporate IT department and acts as a center of excellence, responsible for the global LIMS Application platform, the delivery of new LIMS Solutions and day2day operational support, all in close cooperation with the BU Analytical labs, cross the globe.

Position Overview and Key Responsibilities.

Join us as a LIMS Project Manager and global delivery lead.  

As a global delivery lead, you manage the pipeline of incoming business demands, you will assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure that the team's workload is effectively managed to meet expected delivery timelines. You will act as a point of escalation for complex issues, providing guidance and support to team members. You will Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage major incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations. You will Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline support processes.

As a Project Manager, you will be in close contact with the BU lab responsible, and translate their requirements into project delivery plans or initiate change requests.  As a trusted partner to our business units, you understand the LIMS landscape and applications, coordinate the LIMS request pipeline of the BU and be an enabler for growth of the platform’s capabilities. You will lead and execute medium and large size projects from business requirements analysis to solution delivery. You will build and co-create solutions with our business units on top of a well-defined governance framework. You will foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Who we are looking for: 

Functional & technical Skills:

 

  • Master in information technology or computer science or commercial engineer.
  • Multiple years of Project management experience
  • Profound understanding of IT infrastructure components and architectures.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in ITIL framework and practices, with certification preferred.
  • Experience in application support, incident management, and proactive maintenance activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in LIMS applications.
  • Good understanding of Laboratory operations.
  • Being ‘hands-on’ and ager to deep-dive into functional/technical issues during project implementations.

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Adaptability and resilience, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Good oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills in English, additional language will be considered as an advantage .
  • Willingness to travel internationally (EU, Asia, Canada): 30 to 40%.
  • Good team player, being motivated and highly interested in LIMS functionalities.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary, coping well with hybrid work model.
