Senior PL/SQL Database Engineer

We are developing a custom-made product in the field of pension systems, which we are continuously improving. For our local team in Prague within the Banking industry, we are actively seeking a professional - developer with an understanding of architecture, who will gradually take full ownership of the product and continue to guide it in the right direction.

This is you

• Czech or Slovak language on native level (you will be part of local team)
• Working in Prague office for 3 days ( team members meet in the office from Monday to Wednesday)

• Advanced PL/SQL knowledge:
  • Ability to write complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, trigger logic, and packages.
  • Experience with query performance optimization and performance problem analysis.
  • Ability to communicate from the database using web services, ensuring database integration with external systems.

• Knowledge of relational databases:
  • Thorough knowledge of relational databases (especially Oracle), database schema design, data normalization, indexing, and working with data types.
  • Experience with importing files into the database, automating data imports and exports for integration with other systems.

• Experience with SQL and SQL optimization:
  • Advanced skills in writing SQL queries (JOIN, aggregation, subqueries) and optimizing queries for fast performance.
  • Experience with integrating SQL queries and database operations with external systems via API, web services, or file imports.

• PL/SQL Developer Proficiency:
  • Experience using PL/SQL Developer to effectively develop, debug, and manage database objects and scripts.
  • Support for integrating PL/SQL code with external applications or systems via APIs or file operations.

• Basic to intermediate Oracle database administration:
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle databases on both Linux and Windows Server.
  • Knowledge of basic administrative tasks such as backups, data recovery, user management, database parameter configuration, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • Ability to effectively use GIT for code version control and team collaboration, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
• Basic experience with Linux and Unix systems
