Warehouse Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee! SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Warehouse Specialist.

This position is responsible to pull orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment along with verifying and entering receipt of incoming shipments.

Responsibilities include:

• Obtains merchandise from warehouse shelves to fill orders for non-stock items or special orders, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities.
• Places items in containers and wraps so that the invoice is visible.
• Adheres to established work schedules in a consistently reliable manner, performs job responsibilities and delivers work products on a dependable and timely basis.
• Compares identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, counts items for verification, and indicates any discrepancies.
• Enters the purchase orders by the computer to generate shipping tickets.
• Sends return shipments to manufacturer for repairs.
• Indicates sales order number on the shipping ticket and attaches it to the box or sack.
• Enters other incoming shipments in the computer.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Warehouse Specialist:

Experience: none required, 2 plus years preferred

Education: High school diploma required, some coursework after high school preferred
