Description
Job Description:?The Parts Associate will be responsible for managing and organizing parts inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. This role does not involve direct customer interaction, but does involve vendor interaction by placing orders, and exchanges/returns/cores
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:?Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and supplies.
- Record Keeping:?Maintain accurate inventory records of parts going to the shop.
- Stock Control:?Monitor stock levels and reorder parts as necessary to ensure adequate supply.
- Quality Assurance:?Inspect parts for quality and report any discrepancies or defects.
- Warehouse Organization:?Ensure parts are stored in an orderly and accessible manner while keeping the parts department clean.
- Collaboration:?Work closely with other team members and technicians.
Requirements
- Experience:?Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, hydraulics, or garbage bodies is a plus. Ability to drive a forklift.
- Skills:?Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency:?Familiarity with basic computer skills.
- Physical Requirements:?Ability to lift and move heavy parts and supplies as needed.
- Team Player:?Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
