IOM works to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration, to promote international cooperation on migration issues, to assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees and internally displaced people.
The Staff Learning Unit (SLU) is located within the Integrated Talent Management Division (ITM) of IOM and is responsible for managing programmes and initiatives established in line with the learning and development needs of the Organization. SLU is based in Valencia and Manila.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief, ITM Division and the Head, Staff Learning Unit at the IOM Global Learning Centre, and under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer, Learning Solutions Development, the Senior HR Associate (Learning Solutions Development) will assist in coordinating the learning solutions production pipeline and a team of staff and consultants responsible for delivering learning solutions.
- Assist in coordinating the production pipeline. Plan, monitor and report on the activities and deliverables of staff and consultants who develop learning solutions, including Instructional Designers, Animators, Videographers, Graphic Artists, and others, by assigning projects, monitoring progress and quality, and reviewing deliverables, managing delivery schedules and understanding business requirements and objectives in order to produce effective learning initiatives.
- Support the assessment of incoming project requests of the Learning Solutions Development (LSD) team, in coordination with the Senior HR Associate, LSD Coordinator, by organizing and attending meetings and following up on missing information with internal and external training owners to understand the learning objectives, requirements, timeline and target audience,
- Participate in the design and development of eLearning course templates alongside instructional designers and other eLearning developers;
- Partner with the Development team to create digital and print assets for courses; Video production, including audio and video editing in SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model); Develop illustrations, graphics, etc. to support the course content; Work with Instructional Designers to produce high quality eLearning content.
- Assist in coordinating the eLearning content review process with subject matter experts and instructional designers; obtain training owner’s sign-off as part of acceptance of work process.
- Contribute to the global learning calendar by ensuring that all learning solutions developed by the team are featured in the calendar and uploaded in the Learning Management System (LMS).
