Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialization in administering vaccines to infants although you will administer vaccines in populations up to 10 years old. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in promoting infant health by ensuring timely and accurate immunizations, educating parents, and maintaining up-to-date records. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of pediatric immunization schedules, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
Safely administer vaccines to infants in accordance with the CDC’s immunization schedule and facility protocols.
Monitor infants for any adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions as needed
Provide parents and caregivers with clear, evidence-based information about vaccines, including benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
Address parental concerns and answer questions to promote vaccine confidence.
Accurately document vaccine administration in electronic health records (EHR).
Ensure compliance with state and federal immunization reporting requirements.
Work closely with pediatricians, other nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on immunization guidelines and best practices.
Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:
CA RN License
BLS with American Heart Association
PALS with American Heart Association
Valid CA Driver's License (minimum of 2 years) and acceptable driving record
Must have experience working with Pediatric patients, ideally infants
Strong knowledge of pediatric immunization schedules and contraindications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and support families.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Fluent in Spanish language highly preferred
2 or more years of nursing experience preferred
