We’re searching for a Staff Software Engineer - Autonomy Analytics.

In this role, you will 

• Lead design and development of data systems (both on- and offline) dealing with hundreds of petabytes of multimodal sensor collections, autonomy simulations, and ML datasets
• Help us improve the discoverability, throughput, and usability of our multi-modal offline data
• Create internal products and best practices with cross-functional teams to help us become more efficient, transparent and innovative as we launch our commercial Aurora Driver product.
• Mentor and grow our engineering team with new perspectives, technologies and designs

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying customer-facing large-scale data management systems
• Proven leadership in product development and launch
• Knowledge of machine learning development workflow and experience of working with data scientists
• 4+ years of AWS infrastructure experience, including S3 and Glue Catalog in a production system
• 4+ years of Python development experience
• 4+ years of experience with relational database system in production environment

Desirable Qualifications

• 4+ years of C/C++ experience, including CUDA development

The base range for this position is $191,000 - $245,000.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
