The actuation hardware group supports the development of the overall brake system by providing the engineering support required for the brake actuation unit (iBooster, Integrated Power Brake, and Vacuum booster).
Job Description
Provide design support for new and ongoing customer projects. Generate models, detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, support packaging studies and generate customer offer drawings for NA actuation projects.
- Create 2D drawings to ensure the part can be manufactured, quoted, or gauged for functionality
- Practice proper modeling techniques which allow part/package to be easily modified during later engineering
- Interpret and follow design direction with minimal additional supervision to complete task
- Perform stack up analysis when required.
- Responsible for following Design Guidelines and Processes to ensure correct implementation of design elements
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related field
- Demonstrated ability in NX Software
- Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to utilize TeamCenter to manage data storage and release of models and drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OEM customer interfaces is a plus
- Experience with FEA application and analysis is a plus
- Brake System and or Brake Actuation knowledge a plus.
