Motor Vehicle Operator

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: WG-5: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-5703. No specific length of experience is required. Applicants will be rated on the basis of their response to the assessment questions included in the vacancy announcement and the information contained in their resume. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: A valid State Driver's License is required to operate government-owned or -leased motor vehicles. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. PHYSICAL EFFORT Light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand controls on vehicles operated. When hauling supplies and equipment may be required to lift objects weighing less or more than 50 pounds. When performing custodial duties physical effort is involved in moving and controlling heavy powered equipment, carrying and setting up ladders and scaffolding, etc. Must frequently lift and move objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
