Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Engineer, to join our team in Herndon, VA. 

CLEARANCE

  • TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph (existing clearance required to start)

LOCATION

  • Herndon, VA

OVERVIEW

  • Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking to target, assess, and exploit risks and vulnerabilities of information systems
  • Provide in-depth penetration testing services in support of enterprise cybersecurity equities
  • Document identified system risks, planned test procedures, and results
  • Perform vulnerability analysis and review program-level documentation, including requirements specifications, system architecture, design documents, test plans, and security plans
  • Recommend changes to program documentation to mitigate system vulnerabilities
  • Create and document penetration testing plans and procedures
  • Conduct hands-on penetration testing based on approved testing plans
  • Analyze test results, document risks, and recommend countermeasures
  • Participate in or lead technical exchange meetings and application review boards
  • Document action items and results from meetings
  • Brief management on action item status and test results

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field
  • Proficiency in cyber penetration testing and ethical hacking
  • Knowledge of computer attack methods and system exploitation techniques
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles for Linux, Windows, and virtual platforms
  • Background in designing, testing, or implementing IT security architecture
  • Skills in network security analysis and architecture evaluation
  • Familiarity with network management tools
  • Ability to leverage adversarial tactics for hands-on security testing
  • Expertise in developing risk management methodologies
  • Capability to analyze test results and develop risk and threat mitigation plans
  • Experience testing or reviewing system configuration, development, and design, particularly for enterprise systems and hypervisors
  • Proficiency in designing, testing, or implementing complex Windows installations

  • Participation in public and private information security groups and organizations
  • Ability to communicate vulnerability results and risk posture to senior executives
  • Background in researching, evaluating, and developing security policies and guidance
  • Experience handling complex technical tasks with minimal direction
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification
  • Global Information Assurance Certification Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification
