Wasserman is looking for a Director, Performance & Insights to serve as a key contributor on the US Brands & Properties Projects team. This role will lead the development of strategic plans and partnership solutions across multiple Wasserman clients inside the Projects team’s Performance and Insights group. The candidate should be analytically minded and a structured thinker who can creatively solve client challenges across ranging client needs in sports and entertainment (i.e. culinary, fashion, film, music, etc.) partnerships. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires them to toggle between various partnership capabilities/ expertise as they support a rotating roster of brand and property clients and manage a team.

Duties:

  • Lead teams responsible for developing insights and measurement work encompassing (but not limited to) consumer and fan intelligence, partnership impact and valuation pertaining to sponsorships in the sports and entertainment industry on a project-by-project basis.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, leading the service team and driving project timelines.
  • Oversee and direct team members in client service, general relationship development, project coordination and internal agency resource coordination.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with relevant stakeholders and business units, both within the client and among third parties.
  • Utilize data from syndicated tools, custom surveys, and valuation models to communicate the effectiveness of a sponsorship.
  • Utilize multiple data sources to guide both brands and properties on how to maximize the value of their sponsorships by targeting the right consumers.
  • Blend different capabilities and data sources to elevate storytelling and insights, providing a true consultant POV instead of dumping data.
  • Seamlessly flex between oversight and executor roles, filling gaps on projects as needed.
  • Act as a point-of-contact for inbound new business requests, representing Wasserman’s measurement and insights capabilities to internal and external parties alike.
  • Actively supervise staff, provide feedback, and ensure employee professional development through establishment of an ongoing cadence of check ins and the co-authoring of annual goals and yearly reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to lead commercial application of new capabilities, as well as advocating for innovation and capability to meet emerging opportunities.
  • Build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. Be willing to “walk the halls” and spend the time with the client to solidify the agency’s position inside the client organization.
  • Develop superior institutional knowledge on the sports and entertainment space, bringing expertise across the industry to meetings.
  • Think daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years relevant experience with minimum 6 years of direct experience in client management.
  • Direct experience or knowledge of the Corporate Sponsorship/Marketing industry either from the Brands or Properties perspective.
  • Experience delivering analytically focused work.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
  • Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to motivate team to accomplish goals and develop professional skills.
