Full Time Clinical Support Specialist

The Clinical Support Coordinator serves as a key support role to the Clinical Director of Infusion Therapy by providing high-level administrative, operational, and clinical coordination. This position bridges communication between leadership, clinical staff, patients, and external partners to ensure the seamless delivery of infusion services. The coordinator plays an integral part in day-to-day operations, quality tracking, scheduling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Clinical Director with planning, organizing, and executing departmental initiatives.
• Coordinate daily clinical operations including provider and nursing schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation.
• Manage the Clinical Director’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate communications across departments.
• Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and assist with follow-up on key action items.
• Draft, format, and edit reports, presentations, and clinical communications.
• Act as a central point of contact for patient escalations, physician communication, and referral coordination.
• Support onboarding, training coordination, and scheduling for new clinical staff.
• Facilitate internal communications and announcements to ensure alignment across the infusion team.
• Assist with the training of Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists
• Track clinical quality indicators, staff competencies, incident reports, and patient satisfaction data.
• Assist in the preparation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in alignment with HIPAA and internal compliance standards.
• Manage clinical databases, patient logs, scheduling systems, and electronic health record (EHR) updates.
• Run and compile regular reports for productivity, quality assurance, and patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma, GED, or higher
• 2 or more years of experience in healthcare administration or clinical support roles
• 2 or more years of experience with EHR/EMR platforms
• Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Requirements
• Associate’s degree or higher in health administration, nursing, or related field
• Medical Assistant Certificate
• Infusion or ambulatory care experience
• Experience supporting nursing or medical leadership
