Senior Manager Business & Financial Communications (all genders)

As a Senior Manager Business & Financial Communications (all genders) you’ll work in our Berlin headquarters and get to tell the exciting stories around our financial, business, corporate governance, M&A and strategy-related topics to the media, our employees and the general public.

The position is to be filled on a full-time basis (100%) from 01/01/2025 and is limited until 31/05/2026. There is potential for this position to become permanent, though this cannot be guaranteed.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

In your role you report to the Team Lead Business & Financial Communications and work closely with our Investor Relations and Media Relations teams. You can expect a high degree of ownership and creative freedom in an international work environment.

• Combine your financial expertise with a unique sense for storytelling and tell the Zalando success story as a company spokesperson for finance

• Support Zalando's top management on financial communication matters and work closely with our financial departments - in particular Investor Relations

• Drive key elements of our quarterly reporting (press release, media conference call, internal communications, videos) and collaborate closely with our Investor Relations team to develop storylines and presentations

• Use your talent for storytelling  to write executive speeches for key communication events such as the Annual General Meeting or press conferences 

• Be the Corporate Communications’ team point of contact for financial communications topics; work  with our international Media Relations team to prepare group topics for business and financial press

• Accompany M&A projects as an internal, strategic communications consultant - from the communicative evaluation of risks and opportunities to the implementation of campaigns for individual transactions

• Establish and grow relationships with key journalists and stakeholders

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

• Passion for capital markets and industry-wide trends (e-commerce, digital platforms, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, tech)

• Strong network among the German and international financial press, as well as with other players across capital markets 

• Deep understanding and experience in communications and financial reporting of listed companies

• Experience in financial communications and/or financial journalism 

• Excellent written and spoken German and English

• Superior project management and time management skills
