Senior Project Manager

Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Program/Project Manager to lead activities and work across business functions to launch new products and/or improve the quality/cost of existing products.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Primary responsibility for planning and coordinating all aspects of projects related to processes and people.
• Commence the release of production / launch process, develop project schedules, and ensure that launch tasks are defined and completed within the timeline to meet business needs.
• Ensure project tasks incorporate the use of advanced quality tools (FMEA, Gage R&R, Control Plan, Capability Study) and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain and Sales as it pertains to release to production process.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to facilitate the implementation of new process development and equipment purchases.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Management or related field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in project (program) management.
• Outstanding project management skills.
• Good understanding of finance, capital appropriation and budgeting practices.
• A natural communicator with ability to work in a team environment.
