Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center.  We have an opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator to join our Galveston, Texas team.

Job Overview

The Administrative Coordinator performs advanced level support to the assigned executive, along with direct reports and staff.  The Coordinator will oversee special projects as directed by the Director.  The Administrative Coordinator supports the team through performing clerical functions such as meeting minutes, creating letters and spreadsheets, maintaining Outlook calendars for the team, supporting the leader and department.  

Responsibilities

  • Maintains administrative work flow of the assigned executive coordinating all activities including meetings, minutes, appointments, calendars, preparing correspondence, presentations, databases and travel
  • Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to Director
  • Resolves administrative problems by analyzing information, identifying and communicating solutions
  • Assists the Director in managing service agreements, capital requests, monthly budget variance review and regulatory requirements
  • Assists Director's direct reports by researching, developing, writing and updating administrative policies and procedures
  • Assist, lead and manage special project of the Director, including scheduling meetings, designing work flows, process improvement, and contacting vendors 

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred

 

Skills and Experience

3-5 years administrative experience preferred with 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred

Experience with Microsoft Suite of products
