Senior Motion Engineer

Exodus is looking for a Senior Motion Engineer to elevate the visual and interactive quality of our wallet experiences across mobile, desktop and web. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building beautiful, fluid user interfaces enriched with world-class animations and micro-interactions — the kind seen in apps like Airbnb, Duolingo, and Headspace. You’ll work closely with our design and product teams to translate motion-rich designs into performant, production-grade interfaces that delight our users and define the next generation of Exodus UI.

The ideal candidate has deep experience implementing animations in React and React Native, and is passionate about the nuance of how products feel in motion.

What You Will Do

• Bring UI animations and motion concepts to life in both React and React Native.
• Translate Figma prototypes and motion designs into highly responsive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to concept and refine interactive experiences across platforms.
• Build and maintain performant, reusable animation components and systems.
• Maintain pixel-perfect visual quality and motion smoothness across device types and screen sizes.
• Understand and navigate the broader application architecture to seamlessly integrate new features and support long-term evolution of the platform.
• Contribute to and extend our internal architecture, including our custom dependency injection (DI) and inversion of control (IoC) systems.

Who You Are

• Expert-level proficiency in React and React Native, as well as TypeScript, with a strong track record of animation-rich feature development.
• Comfortable working directly with animation libraries such as Reanimated, react-native-skia, Framer Motion, or GSAP.
• Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles, including timing, easing, transitions, and interaction feedback.
• Passionate about frontend performance, especially on mobile.

A Plus

• Experience developing crypto or fintech applications.
• Familiarity with Lottie and/or Rive and integrating motion handoffs from design tools.
• Contributions to animation frameworks, component libraries, or open-source projects.
• Understanding of gesture systems and native UI rendering pipelines (especially in React Native).
• Experience with threeJS.

Benefits

Health: Most of our health insurance plans are covered 100% for you and covered 50% for your dependents. We’ll also cover dental insurance. If you are outside of the United States, we will reimburse you up to $500 per month for any medical and dental insurance for you and your dependents.

PTO: 30 days of paid time off per year on top of a flexible schedule where you can work wherever and whenever. If you’re part-time with us, you’ll still receive 15 days of paid time off.

Unlimited Bereavement: We will pay you your full salary for the first two weeks for the loss of any immediate family members, but we allow you to take all the time you need to grieve outside of that.

Parental Leave: 13 weeks of fully paid leave with and a month of flexible work for the primary caregiver. 4 weeks of paid leave if you are the child's secondary caregiver.
