Description

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Warehouse Coordinator, under the supervision of a pharmacist, supports the day-to-day activities of the pharmacy department.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Pack patient orders for shipment per policy and procedure to ensure all medication, supplies, and durable medical equipment (DME) arrive undamaged.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and fully stocked work environment including pharmacy, shipping area and warehouse space.
  • Take cardboard and trash related items to appropriate areas in FFF Warehouse for disposal.
  • Assemble shipping boxes and ensure adequate shipping supplies, including boxes, packing material, and ice packs, are always available.
  • Perform clerical duties of department which includes filing of patient charts and shipping of additional items via FedEx.
  • Participate in mid-year and annual pharmacy inventories.
  • Adhere specifically to all company policies and procedures, federal, state, and compliance requirements /regulations/laws.

  • Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Required Knowledge:

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality to the level of required HIPAA standards.

Preferred Experience:

  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months of shipping experience in a warehouse environment.

Required Skills:

  • Basic level of understanding and use of computers applications that include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet technologies.
  • Operate office equipment which includes computer, scanner, printer, copier, and phones.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Work with a high degree of accuracy in an organized, detail-oriented manner with appropriate follow up as required.
