Description

 Responsible for receiving finished product from production and ensuring that the correct amount is stacked on each pallet (slip sheet), printing pallet labels, stretch wrapping and placing in designated area for removal to finished goods storage. 

Key Responsibilities

• Start the palletizer by selecting each production line; start the metering belt for each line. 
• Verify pallet pattern and quantity for each product as it is stacked. 
• Complete visible inspection of master cartons (shipping cases). 
• Enter correct information on Palletize Tally Sheet.  
• Record meter reading at end of each line’s production. 
• Enter production from palletizer tally to JBA. 
• Reconcile production runs to meter reading. 
• Conduct daily visual inspections to check for any loose parts, loose chains and worn parts.
• Monitor process, correct jams and other problems that occur. 
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of area to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc. 
• Shut down equipment at end of shift. 
• Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems; communicate more complex problems to maintenance. 
• Any other duties as requested or required.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Ability to lift 35 lbs.  Ability to work ten hours (twelve during busy season) and walk up and down steps.
