In addition to theoretical knowledge, you will also gain initial practical experience.</p> <p>As our new intern, you will support the Business Data &amp; Analytics team within the Strategic Business Modernization (SBM) unit. The team develops data products, provides analytical insights, and drives improvement projects that strengthen and advance data-driven decision making in the center.</p> <p><strong>How can you make a difference?</strong> </p> <p>Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Strategic Business Modernization section, you will perform data analysis tasks such as data discovery, modeling, cleaning, metadata development, dashboard preparation, and report creation, as well as other data-focused improvements. You will also support the coordination of data-related activities.</p> <p><strong>This may involve</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Work with diverse datasets of varying complexity to design and conduct analyses.</li> <li>Apply and experiment with data cleaning, preparation, and analytical techniques to generate solutions that answer business questions.</li> <li>Translate business needs into data requirements and develop data-driven solutions.</li> <li>Develop dashboards and other data visualization tools to support decision-making.</li> <li>Document methodologies and process steps; prepare clear, well-structured deliverables for dissemination (e.g., presentations, briefs, reports).</li> <li>Contribute to specific tasks within data projects, collaborating closely with the team.</li> <li>Provide additional support on data-related activities as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…</strong></p> <p><strong><em><u>Minimum requirements:</u></em></strong></p> <p>The incumbent should: </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Be currently enrolled in a degree programme with data analytics profile, preferably in Economics, Sociology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related area, or be a recent graduate (within the past two years).</li> <li>Fluency in English required. Knowledge of one other UN working language is an advantage </li> <li>Eligible applicants must be nationals of EU countries or hold a valid work permit for Hungary.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required competencies </strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Analytical – Knowledge of methods and tools used for statistical analysis is a strong asset.</li> <li>Technical – Very good analytical skills and ability to synthesize concepts and material into clear and concise thoughts.</li> <li>Technical – Experience with and curiosity about database tables, data definitions, SQL, and Power BI.</li> <li>Communication – Effectively presents thoughts and ideas including complex technical concepts, in a clear, concise, and readily understood manner, both verbally and in writing.
