As a key member of the extraction team, this role is responsible for decommissioning a monolithic PHP application into multiple services in PHP or microservices in Golang and developing new functionalities </span>within the team's domain<span>. The developer will operate within an Agile environment, contributing to serverless microservices, API development, and cloud-based solutions. This role emphasizes the principles of Full Accountability, Near Zero Handovers, and Near Zero Dependencies, ensuring efficient and high-quality product delivery.</span><br/><b>Reports to: </b>Engineering Manager<b>Location:</b> Hybrid <span>Biassono, Italy </span><br/>To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in Italy. <h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Design, develop, test, and deploy foundational, scalable, and resilient platform services and APIs to optimize overall platform health and performance.</li><li>Collaborate extensively with internal development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand core requirements and deliver robust platform capabilities and enhancements from ideation to production.</li><li>Uphold and champion high standards of code quality, performance, and security by writing clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code, actively participating in rigorous code reviews.</li><li>Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives), contributing to effective sprint execution and continuous process improvement.</li><li>Contribute to and evolve our robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless, automated deployment of platform services and applications within secure AWS cloud environments.</li><li>Drive and champion architectural improvements and refactoring initiatives to continuously enhance platform performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability, actively reducing technical debt.</li><li>Provide expert-level operational support for critical platform services, swiftly identifying and resolving complex production issues to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and minimal disruption for internal and external users.</li></ul> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>4+ years of development experience in a similar position.</li><li>Enterprise-level project experience and developing scalable web applications.</li><li>Knowledge of <b>PHP </b>and Object Oriented Design Patterns.</li><li>In-depth experience with MySQL and strong knowledge of optimization methods.</li><li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with an understanding of CI/CD processes.</li><li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker).</li><li>Ability to diagnose and fix complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.</li><li>Experience with automated testing, including TDD.</li><li>Understanding of web-related security issues (OWASP)</li><li>Command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Ability to diagnose and fix complex issues in a timely and efficient manner.</li><li>A deep understanding of cross-functional, multiple-team-based software development.</li></ul> <h3>Nice to have:</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with GoLang, JavaScript/Typescript, and Bash.</li><li>Experience with IaC and Kubernetes.</li><li>Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native development.</li></ul><b>Benefits &amp; Perks</b> 😍-Generous Vacation Policy, plus extra floating holidays to use for religious or cultural events that matter to you-Employee Share Purchase Plan-Career progression/internal mobility opportunities-Four employee resource groups to get involved with (the Docebo Women's Alliance, PRIDE, BIDOC, and Green Ambassadors)-WeWork partnership and “Work from Anywhere” program<br/><b>Hybrid Office Model 🏢</b>We believe when people are together, they d
