Job Summary
The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Corporate Call Center intern position collaborates with a variety of management levels on projects that contribute to the growth and success of UPS. This position contributes to the improvement of currently deployed and pending initiatives to support the UPS BaSE Call Center in its support of multiple operating districts. This position uses discipline specific knowledge, skills and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations and business improvement opportunities. This position performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Problem Management and Root Cause Failure Analysis initiatives
- Drives assigned project(s) to completion, tracking results to exceed expectations
- Executes assigned project from developing project plans, ensuring tasks are completed, and hitting milestones
- Maintain and meet project schedules
- Provides fresh insights to Call Center team by participating in the team's ongoing processes and activities
- Help to enhance systems to manage Call Center
- Prepares and delivers capstone presentations to leadership
Preferences
- STEM background in IT, civil, electrical, mechanical, automation engineering or other related fields of study
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and be highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed components, while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with appropriate level of detail to impact end goals
- Demonstrates the ability to identify, adapt and apply approaches in problem solving
- Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Bi)
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Qualifications:
Rising college Sophomore, Junior or Senior, or recent graduate within the last 24 months with a bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Excellent written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Basic MySQL skills, Exposure to ServiceNow and other ITSM services
