Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct data quality checks and ensure that data conforms to predefined data standards.
- Review data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and ensure data is compliant with standards and regulations. Identify root causes of data quality issues and make recommendations for resolution of issues in data and reporting quality.
- Participate in collecting and analyzing data for validity and accuracy in preparation of assigned reports and maintaining department databases.
- Utilizes department/company software to prepare SQL queries.
- Locate the new and/or best sources for data to drive more effective and efficient analytics.
- Create mechanisms to use data as a strategic asset throughout the enterprise.
- Collaborate with others to determine opportunities to exploit data analytics to advance business needs and provide analytics results directly to business users.
- Analyzes business intelligence data to inform business and product decisions.
- Develop understanding of industry products/coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activity.
- Participate in capturing, developing, and documenting data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements. Observance to company and industry standard practices such as Master Data Management, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Privacy, and Data Security.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of data sources content and structure to assess the quality of data and adherence to established database standards.
- Organize and coordinate the product’s disparate data streams in preparation for analytics and to promote holistic analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, along with 2-4 years' related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong SQL abilities and development of complex queries.
- Demonstrated expertise and use of Data Profiling.
- Solid grounding in business and data analytics including expertise in applying these techniques to structured and unstructured data.
- Understanding of business objectives and ability to apply this knowledge to recommend and implement analytics development.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to share information across business functions and disciplines; manage stakeholders with diverse interests; make actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
Remote Work: Crown offers hybrid remote work for this position. A reasonable commute is necessary since some onsite work is required. Relocation assistance available.
