WWC Federal is seeking an experienced Project Director / Chief of Party equivalent to lead a contract providing staffing, technical support, and consultant services to the USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Learning, and Resources (PLR) and formerly known as PPL. The contract will provide full time institutional support staff to PLR. It will also provide short-term technical assistance (STTA) and surge support to PPL and USAID Missions overseas.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for the technical implementation, performance monitoring, and finance/operations of all aspects of the PLR institutional support contract. The PD will serve as the principal institutional liaison to USAID/PLR and serves as the official supervisor for all employees on contract. Primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and coordinating all employees including managing personnel to ensure they have sufficient tools needed to complete their assigned tasks.
- Ultimate accountability for the quality of work and responsible for client satisfaction through the achievement of program results in the required time frame.
- Working with team to strategically deploy staff and consultants.
- Assisting with ad hoc troubleshooting and problem solving, including delivery of services to the client when required.
- Coordinating with the COR regularly and providing status briefings regarding day-to-day activities on the contract identifying problems or concerns and providing timely solutions.
- Managing and refining contract systems to track task activity, quality and progress against specified tasks.
- Working with Recruitment Manager to develop and implement a recruitment and retention strategy to meet contract staffing requirements.
- Maintaining strong relationships with personnel throughout USAID, implementing partners community, continuously staying abreast of changes to the ADS and implementation challenges to USAID's policies.
- Modeling the Pequot Community of Companies commitment to a diverse, inclusive contract workforce.
- Managing hiring and overseeing staff training/development to ensure professionalism and skill enhancement, overseeing contract performance monitoring and documentation; taking or directing any necessary actions to correct performance problems to ensure quality control.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
- Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:
- 0-10% / Minimal travel.
