Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of their existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices. You will bring your experience and expertise to the PMC role while working within the customer’s organization as part of an integrated team. This position will start as an assignment in the Nagothane, India

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite. You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management.  

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for material management activities for project temporary operating and jobsite locations on a medium sized project 
• Identifies the need and completing the action for all UOS&D material and equipment received at project temporary operating and jobsite locations 
• Initiates actions to identify and dispose of material and equipment declared excess to project needs by project management 
• Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project temporary and jobsite locations, as specifically directed by the Project Field Procurement Manager – this activity begins as early as practical in the planning stages and continues throughout the project
