Job Description

The Manager, Global Trade Compliance Technology is a highly visible and strategic position that actively partners across the enterprise (Operations, R&D, Commercial, and Corporate). As a result, this role plays a critical part in shaping the technology strategy for the function.  Reporting directly to the Director, Global Trade Compliance (GTC), this role will have a global footprint and operates across all regions/countries. They are responsible for actively collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing technology solutions, and ensuring the effective integration of technology into trade compliance processes.  By leveraging expertise and collaborating with various business areas, the incumbent helps optimize trade compliance operations, enhance decision-making, and mitigate risks. Their contributions are instrumental in shaping the future of our trade compliance function and supporting AbbVie's mission to improve the lives of individuals worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead in the identification and use case development for innovative emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, to enhance global trade compliance processes and improve decision-making.
• Develop and implement technology enablers to support global trade compliance processes, including the evaluation and implementation of high-profile initiatives.
• Manage the integration of new acquisitions into the trade technology landscape, coordinating with Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Finance Shared Services (FSS) and other stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute multiple strategic complex projects and technology initiatives within the function.
