Duration: 6-12 months (Phase 1), with potential for an additional 1-year extension

Job Overview:

Project Support Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced CSST Construction Site Safety

Technician to support fire recovery efforts at the Eaton/Palisades Fire site. This role is crucial in

ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring hazardous conditions, and maintaining

a safe work environment.

Compensation:

 Independent Contractor: $55 per hour

 Employee Option: Salary and benefits package can be discussed if preferred

Requirements

Responsibilities:

 Conduct on-site safety inspections and enforce OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and site-specific safety regulations

 Monitor job site conditions to prevent hazards and ensure worker compliance

 Assist with incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions

 Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ensure proper use of PPE

 Maintain detailed safety records and documentation

 Work closely with contractors, project managers, and environmental teams to maintain site safety

Qualifications:

 Certified Site Safety Technician (CSST) – California Certified

 HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (Required)

 Experience with fire recovery, disaster response, or environmental safety preferred

 Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations

 Ability to start immediately and commit to the full contract duration

 Excellent communication and reporting skills
