Software Development Engineer in Test

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton's Quality Engineering team is looking for experienced, well-rounded Software Development Engineer In Test (SDET) to work on our award-winning Peloton products - Peloton Bike & Peloton Tread. In this role, you will directly take ownership for the quality of the product and work closely with Software/Hardware developers, Product Management and help teams build a quality mentality and advocate for quality while assisting teams with software testing practices.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

• Implement test tools and frameworks that will help us release with confidence
• Work with teams to understand test automation gaps and implement coverage
• Work with teams to make testing a crucial part of the software development process
• Coordinate testing efforts across teams to ensure delivery of high-quality features
• Assist in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability
• Assist in mentoring and coaching

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with test automation
• Proven understanding of object-oriented concepts with any OO languages
• Proven understanding of GIT
• Experience working with engineers to collaborate on test automation scenarios 
• Experience interacting with REST APIs for test data setup
• Experience working in a CI environment (Jenkins/GitHub Actions)
• Experience working with multi-functional scrum teams
• Ability to accomplish sophisticated engineering task independently

BONUS POINTS

• Hands on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso (highly preferred)
• Hands on experience with setting up and configuring jobs in Jenkins or CircleCI or GitHub Actions
• Hands on visual testing with screen-shot-test-for-android
• Experience interacting with REST API for test reporting

Base Salary: $48.65/ Hr

The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
