Description
What You’ll Do
- Assist manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring the clinic is at optimal efficiency and compliance
- Participate and lead daily Huddle with staff, communicating expectations and daily goals
- Assist the Manager to champion and lead continuous improvement efforts within facility as dictated by the company
- Work closely with Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
- Maintain inventory and supplies
- Other duties as assigned based on business operational needs within the clinical setting
- Ensure daily audits of patient charts are completed with correct documentation, level of decision making and overall good billing s
- Involved in the interviewing process of new clinic staff
- Involved in the initial stages of counseling and improving the performance of patient-centered staff
- Maintain a culture of accountability, meeting productivity goals, following company policies and procedures centered around the AVP mission and vision
- Monitor effective workflows throughout the clinic and reassigns staff as necessary
- Delegate responsibility to staff for patient refills and daily clinical closing tasks
- Assure quality of and completeness of patient workups
- Create and maintains clinical weekly staff schedules, to be approved by Manager
- Partner with Manager to ensure safe work s are used by all associates of the clinic
- Approve bi-weekly time sheets
- Promote customer service in all aspect of operations
- Responsible for the training of all new clinical staff
- Assist staff with patient care/triaging as needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned based on clinic needs
Requirements
What You Bring
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification, minimal requirement
- Strong leadership and business operations experience required
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
- Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The ability to seek instruction in areas where they are not knowledgeable
- The ability to recognize inconsistencies
- Bachelor's degree or associate’s degree preferred
- Customer and patient service orientation: prompt response to patient needs and ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations with tact, empathy and diplomacy
- Displays positive outlook and pleasant manner, does not instigate or participate in office gossip or negativity, keeps commitments
- Dresses appropriately and is well groomed
- Ability to work cooperatively in group situations; offers assistance and support to coworkers, actively resolves conflicts, inspires trust of others, and treats patients and coworkers with respect
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including the ability to use power hand tools and lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Willingness to submit to a background check (drug screen for Ambulatory Surgery Centers only)

Physical Requirements:
· Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
· Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
· Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity including viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, interpretation, etc.
· Must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods of time.
Cognitive Requirements:
· Executes tasks independently.
· Learns and memorizes tasks.
· Maintains concentration/focus on tasks.
· Performs task in a demanding environment requiring multi-task and prioritize work.
· Must be comfortable working and interacting with large groups of people daily.
Compliance training and testing is required annually and as needed.
