About the role

Job Description

The Director of Sales & Operations Execution is responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless execution of sales and operations plans, aligning short-term operational activities with strategic goals, and driving efficiency across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategies that align sales and operational capabilities.

  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure that sales and operations are meeting targets and objectives.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive execution of plans.

  • Technology and Data Analytics: Leverage advanced technologies and data analytics to improve decision-making and operational performance.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth operations.

  • Resource Allocation: Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to support sales and operational goals.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and keep senior leadership informed about progress and outcomes.

  • Change Management: lead change management efforts to foster a culture of innovation and accountability across the organization.

  • Leadership & Team Development:

    • Manage and mentor a team of 5-10 professionals in operational excellence, planning, and analytics, fostering skill development and driving high performance

    • Act as a liaison between store operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams, promoting collaboration and resolving conflicts to achieve shared goals

    • Stay ahead of retail industry trends and incorporate best practices into operational strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.

    • Proficiency in using sales and operations planning software.

    • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Consulting or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the retail industry.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises Managers of people; total team size is approximately 5-10 Team Members.
