About the team

Turo’s Airports Team develops, maintains, and grows relationships to obtain airport permits that deliver the best experiences and vehicle exchange opportunities for Guests and Hosts. Working on the Airports team gives you the opportunity to help drive strategy and develop best in class permitting terms that highlight and account for the unique attributes of peer to peer car sharing. 

As a Senior Airports Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and leveraging strong and lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Turo is easily accessible and attractive at airports within your region. Expect to contribute to local, regional, and nationwide strategies, attend industry events, and manage internal processes on key issues, while being accountable for delivering new and renegotiated permits.

What you will do

  • Initiate Turo’s airport negotiations, ensuring permit terms present an inviting vehicle exchange environment to Turo Hosts and Guests, and are conducive to growing Turo business.
  • Lead mitigation efforts against operational and industry-related threats, including those posed by competitors in the ground transportation industry, to Turo’s unfettered access to airports nationwide.
  • Work closely with Turo’s Finance, Operations, Government Relations, Legal and Product teams to define priorities and support each region’s needs.
  • Manage the airport permitting lifecycle, including initial conversations, permit negotiating, project management, internal cross-department cooperation, launch, and compliance.
  • Manage the success of new & existing airport permits and develop new growth & operational opportunities.
  • Communicate and build Turo’s reputation with airport managers and other airport industry groups and individuals.
  • Participate in relevant airport industry or ground transportation industry events and conferences.

Your profile

  • You have minimum 5 years of proven experience working for an airport or in the airport industry, in roles similar to Government Relations, Business Development, and/or Account Management;
  • Experience working for and/or partnering with airports on permits/agreements is strongly preferred;
  • Demonstrated ability to finalize, internally coordinate. and launch new and renegotiated agreements and enhance existing relationships with business partners;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiating, and networking skills; 
  • Positive, customer service-oriented approach to work;
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, not easily discouraged, able to turn a “no” into a “yes,” and adept at solving problems creatively;
  • You are willing to travel nationally for business – up to 75%
  • You have a positive attitude, are a team player, and most people find you fun to be around.

The US Remote base salary target range for this full-time position is $148,000-$164,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
