Accounting Manager - Temp

Our client, a high-growth e-commerce company with over 250 employees is looking for a part-time Accounting Manager to join their Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team management. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records, as well as contributing to the overall success of the finance department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the finance department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations as needed.
• Manage and optimize cash flow to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Highly collaborative temperament, proven communication skills, and demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of the financial cycle and month-end close process.
• Retail/Sales industry experience is a plus
