Pool Food Server (UNION) - Bellagio

THE JOB: 

As a Food Server, your primary responsibilities include taking and delivering customer orders, maintaining table service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and finalizing checks.  Additionally, you will be responsible for performing side work and keeping your assigned stations clean and organized. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $13.5894 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Warm Guest Reception: Greet guests with a positive and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
• Expert Menu Knowledge: Be well-versed in our menu items, including all courses and beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, and use effective selling techniques to enhance the dining experience
• Maintain Table Cleanliness: Uphold a high standard of table cleanliness using a discreet and efficient service approach
• Accurate Billing: Itemize bills accurately and handle payments efficiently to ensure a smooth transaction process
• Area Maintenance: Keep your assigned areas, including side stations and Point of Sale (POS) stations, clean and well-stocked
• Anticipate Guest Needs: Proactively anticipate and respond to guest needs with a sense of urgency and attentiveness
• Effective Communication: Collaborate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address and fulfill guest requests and resolve any issues promptly

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card and an Alcohol Awareness card
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Two(2) years of previous server experience in a similar resort setting
• Three (3) years of previous experience of serving in a high-paced environment
• Knowledgeable of menu items, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
• Knowledgeable of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, and coolers, slicers and beverage machines
• Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
