About the role

KLDiscovery, a leading global provider of electronic discovery, information governance and data recovery services, is currently seeking a Snr Regulatory Project Manager, to join KLD’s dedicated Antitrust/Second Request team.

 

The position is responsible for the overall client experience as well as the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company’s European Regulatory practice. 

 

The Snr Regulatory Project Manager’s duties will include a blend of engagement-specific, business development, thought leadership responsibilities in addition to a level of operational oversight. The Snr Regulatory Project Manager is expected to ensure that within the company’s regulatory practice, client expectations are tightly managed, team members advocate for their needs internally, and communicate progress and critical information to the client, delivering on all promises and ultimately, ensure their satisfaction with all services rendered.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Working directly with Business Development and Advisory Services team members in executing Client Service engagements with a high degree of professionalism while demonstrating knowledge of eDiscovery standards and practices.
  • Working directly with other company leaders to develop, refine, and execute strategic action plans relative to the company’s European Regulatory offering
  • Participating in client meetings as needed in support of Regulatory engagements
  • Ability to consult with clients and expertly advise them on best practices in navigating regulatory engagements
  • Knowledge and understanding requirements for specific regulatory agencies including, but not limited to
    • European Commission
    • French Competition Authority
    • French Financial Markets Authority
    • German Federal Cartel Office
    • Competition and Markets Authority
    • Financial Conduct Authority 
  • Follow outlined Standard Operation Procedures as outlined by KLDiscovery.
  • Consult with and advise Clients through the scope of their case regarding eDiscovery workflows, project planning, database setup, etc. consistent with industry best practices and standards.

  • Working fast paced deadlines and setting appropriate expectations internally
  • Must have a technical understanding of the process of collecting data as well as eDiscovery tools technical understanding of applications commonly used in eDiscovery platforms not limited to the following
    • Deduplication  
    • Predictive coding
    • Advanced analytics
    • Keyword
    • Production Specifications
    • Email Threading 
  • Conduct and participate in Custodian Interviews 
  • Partner with KLDiscovery Review Managers to ensure all review workstreams are satisfied 
  • Partner with KLDiscovery Technologists to ensure all Predictive Coding is appropriately applied 
  • Detailed tracking of all data processes from collection to production with thorough and complete reconciliation per company SOP to ensure all data is appropriately accounted for.
  • Proactively plan the workflow/requirements of each project with the client to ensure that the client’s expectations are fully understood and achieved.
  • Gather requirements from the client and passing the same on to Operations via a work order with proficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage the client’s expectations by providing routine detailed status updates and reporting.
  • Consistently deliver proactive communication with clients and serve as point of escalation when client issues arise.
  • Serve as client advocate to champion the client’s needs internally to ensure that deadlines, project scope and expectations are understood.
  • Demonstrate and present KLDiscovery solutions to existing and prospective clients in support of business development efforts.
  • Participate in industry/thought leadership events such as conferences, podcasts, “lunch and learns”, etc.
  • Maintain expert understanding of our industry and trends and a thorough understanding of all company products and services and technologies.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the companies hosted review platforms 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 4 plus years of project management, consulting, litigation support or paralegal experience in a top-tier law firm, consulting practice, or vendor
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft office Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Candidate must have a deep understanding of eDiscovery and the litigation support industry, with specific experience successfully managing antitrust or other regulatory matters.
