Senior Business Analyst, Asset Management

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director Asset Information, this position is responsible for activities to help support the group's mandate for ensuring effective utilization of data, technology Tools and application(s) that support the utility asset lifecycle.

Job Description:

• Develops business process models for new or revised business processes across all areas of the business.

• Leads facilitated requirements and process development sessions with business unit representatives.

• Leads business analysts in developing the approach and process for facilitated requirements and process development sessions.

• Assists business units to create user acceptance testing scenarios.

• Reviews and approves user acceptance testing scenarios developed by business analysts

• Manages business requirements throughout the project life cycle.

• Develops the standard processes and artifacts for managing business requirements

• Assists in maintenance of published business process models.

• Reviews and approves business process models developed by business analysts

• Develops procedure documentation and establishes the standards for business project deliverables.

• Reviews and approves business project deliverables.

• Develops standard templates for deliverables required to support the delivery of change management artifacts to ensure a seamless transition for business users to new tools and technologies.

• Determines areas of data analysis that are necessary to understand business problems or issues.

• Works collaboratively with LUMA’s IT OT team to implement technology solutions that deliver intended business outcomes.

• Has a thorough understanding of the capabilities within the core business technologies leveraged by the  organization and its relation to the business processes ·

• Conducts the impact analysis of the proposed software life cycle and changes being introduced by the vendors to the business users and business processes.

• Provides coaching and mentoring to Business Analyst

• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Education and experience:

• Bachelor Degree in information systems, computer science, information technology or a related field is required

• Minimum five (5) years Business Analysis experience, data modeling tools is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0) experience required

• Demonstrated experience in applying sound judgment to make decisions.

• Proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Engineering tools for managing the utility network asset lifecycle.

• Asset information collection procedures and workflows.

• Executive-level reporting.

• Fluent in Spanish and English with the ability to read, write and speak is preferred.

• Utility knowledge and experience on defining the asset management lifecycle is preferred.

• Applicable Asset Management and Work Management enabling technologies is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid driver license

• International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) preferred
