Primary Purpose:
            The Program Specialist provides support to ACE site coordinators in planning, implementation, management and evaluation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in education, management or related field

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with the community and staff members.
  • Strong organizational, customer service and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of computer proficiency using Microsoft Office and Canva
  • Ability to conceive and construct innovative programs/activities targeted to specific family needs.
  • Preferred � Ability to communicate in native language(s) of program recipients

Experience With:

  • At least 3 years leadership experience
  • At least 5 years in education.
  • High-risk children and families
  • Meeting the needs of students with multiple learning styles
  • Curriculum (lesson planning, scope and sequencing)
  • Staff supervision
  • Training and Development
  • Connecting families to resources
  • Identifying and utilizing community resources
  • Preferred - 21st CCLC or After School/Summer Program experience

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  1. Plan, design, and help implement family engagement events at the campus and district level.
  2. Plan, provide and oversee all professional development for family engagement and student programming.
  3. Monitor program fidelity through continued observations of family engagement events and provide feedback and coaching to site coordinators.
  4. Oversee the implementation of high impact tutoring and alignment of school day to ACE afterschool programs.
  5. Manage the recruitment and retention of students and families;
  6. Work closely with the site coordinator to implement ongoing family engagement activities;
  7. Complete data entry and required reporting according to scheduled deadlines;
  8. Meet all compliance requirements including effective data and fiscal management;
  9. Lead and facilitate ongoing planning efforts including community outreach;
  10. Attend all required meetings, conferences, and trainings;
  11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Frequent prolonged and irregular hours including some evenings; Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; steady phone interactions; moderate standing, walking, and bending
