Location
This position is based out of Lenexa, KS with flexibility for hybrid work.
Responsibilities
• Support the development of Kiewit responses to RFP and Contract Documents , specifications, drawings, and reference information through the development of conceptual Solar Energy Models and associated Energy Estimates
• Utilize basic Solar Engineering software packages in accordance with industry codes and standards.
• Collaborate with various discipline and subsidiary groups to provide expertise and support project needs as well as energy optimization of Solar Power plant designs
• Coordinate with site construction crews and startup personnel to support IV Curve Testing incuding sample plans, IR Flyover Testing and subsequent JET test checks to ensure adequate PV DC Health in preparation for Solar Performance Testing
• Be able to develop the Energy Forecast tool for use in daily 7 day forecast for the Startup Manager communications to Operations and Transmission authority
• Coordinate with EPC or Owner Contractors on SCADA and MET Station performance, data frequency, accuracy, and development of queries and reports as necessary to execute Solar Performance Testing
• Responsible for the execution of Solar Performance Testing requirements with supervision as assigned for specified in EPC Contracts such as Availability testing of Trackers and Inverters, Capacity Testing, Performance Ratio Testing, and Energy Testing.
• Collaborate with EPC construction and startup groups as well as Customer Operations to provide engineering expertise and support project needs as it affects required Solar Performance Testing requirements
• Responsible for creating the AS Built Energy model to be used for testing from changes occuring during construction that affect energy output
• Maintains testing per Construction and Startup schedules
• Responsible for development of detailed Solar Performance Test Procedures and all attachments from EPC Contract Exhibits

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Renewable Engineering
• At least 5 years' minimum relevant experience in Solar Performance Energy Modelling
• 5 years Solar Power Plant Performance Testing Experience required
• Strong technical background in Solar Power Plant Design, Battery
