Description

 

This is a Casual status also known as Per Diem RN Surgery role at the Rancho Bernardo Ambulatory Surgery Center. This is a 10 hour day shift position (630a-5pm) that varies from Monday- Friday. The casual status requirement is a minimum of 1day a month. No weekends or call. Training will be casual status.

Responsibilities Include: Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Provide direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice. Engage in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Work collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of RN experience in the Operating Room (Circulating)
  • California Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
  • Registered Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Prefer 2 years of recent  ASC or main hospital experience
  • GI experience and conscious sedation experience is strongly preferred
  • OR circulating experience with specialties, GYN, Urology, Pain, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry
