The Role:
Moderna is on the cusp of a defining moment, and we are seeking a seasoned Marketing Leader to join our Global Franchise team for Latent+ Viruses at our Cambridge, MA headquarters. You will play a crucial role in the strategic development and global launch execution for our leading cytomegalovirus vaccine candidate, mRNA-1647, and other future candidates.
Reporting to the VP, Global Franchise Lead, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a “best-in class” commercialization strategy, setting the stage for market introduction and growth. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities from market insight generation and competitive landscape assessment to leading the development and implementation of early-stage launch strategies that will drive our commercial efforts.

Here’s What You’ll Do
Lead the strategic planning and execution of a global commercialization plan for Norovirus vaccine candidates, maximizing the commercial potential of the Latent+ Viruses Franchise.
Develop impactful launch strategies and Go-To-Market model across a multichannel approach for a complex ecosystem of healthcare professionals, health care consumers, along with a comprehensive external engagement plan partnering with KOLs, NITAGs, payers, etc.
Utilize your extensive marketing expertise to drive brand differentiation, market development, and brand value, from pre-launch planning through to execution.
Develop innovative solutions for the launch and adoption of vaccine candidates, infusing a digital-first mindset into all commercial activities.
Collaborate with Market Access, Pricing, and HEOR teams to create differentiated strategies and a compelling value proposition that ensures access and reimbursement.
Oversee asset forecasting, manage commercial budgets, and long-range plans, and allocate resources effectively to strategic priorities.
Assess and provide a relevant commercial voice to shape future scenario planning and inform key investment decisions. Provide strategic thinking to allow for identification and assessment of opportunities from launch through LCM.
Work closely with matrix teams including R&D & Regulatory to tackle strategic challenges and ensure that commercialization strategies are in sync with product development and evolving market demands.
Partner with global market teams to ensure launch readiness and operational excellence, building capabilities to address market-specific requirements.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
Minimum 15 years of progressive global marketing experience, with 5+ years dedicated to leading brand strategies and teams, particularly in defining new markets and executing launch strategies in emerging markets.
Proven collaborative skills with cross-functional teams, such as R&D, Medical Affairs, and Market Access, to drive commercial strategies.
Solid track record in market analysis, business case development, and understanding the full commercial lifecycle of a product, from development to post-launch.
Familiarity with regulatory environment and compliance aspects of pharmaceutical marketing.
Strong analytical abilities for data-driven decision-making and strategy development.

Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in a relevant field.
Proven track record in global marketing within pharma/biotech, especially in rare diseases and latent+ viruses.
Demonstrated success in launching "first-in-class" products and establishing new markets.
Strategic leadership in developing and executing impactful global brand plans.
Expertise in digital marketing and social media for enhancing brand presence.
Strong leadership with a history of guiding cross-functional teams through complex projects.
