Full Stack Junior Software Engineer

CACI is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer, Level I, you'll have the chance to develop and enhance web applications while building on your foundational knowledge of frontend and backend technologies.

Job Description:

• Contributing to Software Development: You will assist in developing web applications and services, focusing on writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code. With guidance from senior engineers, you will implement features across both frontend and backend technologies, using frameworks such as React, Angular, Express.js, and Django.
• API Development and Integration: You will help design and implement RESTful APIs, contributing to microservices architecture and integrating them with existing infrastructure. This will help you develop a solid understanding of system integration principles.
• Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including analysts, designers, and data scientists, to support the development of user interfaces, dashboards, and tools that assist users in working with large datasets. Clear communication with team members will be key as you learn to articulate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Version Control and Code Quality: Using Git for version control, you will help manage codebases and contribute to collaborative coding efforts. You will also participate in testing and quality assurance processes, learning how to write and run unit tests using tools like Selenium and Python’s unit test framework.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Exposure: You will gain hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining applications using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You will also learn about containerization and infrastructure management tools like Docker and Terraform.
• Continuous Learning and Skill Development: You will be encouraged to stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices. Minimum Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Familiarity with using Git for version control and source code management.
• Basic knowledge of frontend and backend technologies, with experience in project-related frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and server-side frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Django, Flask).
• Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to maintaining and deploying code using Docker, AWS, Terraform, and other tools.
• Understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Basic proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Foundational knowledge of system integration and API development, with a focus on integrating with existing infrastructure.
• Ability to write code specific to software created by the organization, particularly in Python and JavaScript.
