Senior FP&A Analyst
Job Summary
The Sr. FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial visibility, rigorous analysis, and data-driven decision-making across the business. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic and commercially-minded finance professional to take meaningful ownership of core FP&A processes, partner deeply with cross-functional leaders, and help shape the financial direction of a fast-growing, PE-backed SaaS company. The Sr. FP&A Analyst will work closely with the leader of the FP&A function, taking an analytical and forward-looking view of the business to identify trends, surface risks and opportunities, and drive operational and financial performance throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and strategically minded, with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, executive-ready insights.
Location(s): North Carolina Research Triangle or East Coast (preferred)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be a key driver in the preparation of financial presentations for the company’s executive leadership team and board of directors, including monthly business reviews, quarterly board packages, and ad hoc strategic reporting
- Partner closely with the Finance and Accounting team to assess actuals versus budget and forecast targets; take a lead role in variance analysis, synthesizing key drivers of performance, and incorporating findings into updated financial forecasts and management commentary
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve analytical models that utilize both financial and operational data (including SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, churn, and LTV) to forecast operating results and support strategic planning
- Lead company, product, and project profitability analysis, including margin analysis by product line and customer segment
- Proactively identify financial and operational trends, surface risks and opportunities, and provide forward-looking insights to support business decision-making in a rapidly evolving environment
- Serve as a key finance business partner to cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success), driving shared understanding of financial performance and supporting department-level planning and analysis
- Drive the development and implementation of process improvements, including automation of recurring reporting and enhancements to planning tools and workflows
- Lead or support strategic initiatives including M&A due diligence, benchmarking, and competitive and market analysis
- Leverage AI tools and technologies (including large language models, AI-assisted analytics, and automation platforms) to enhance the speed, depth, and quality of financial analysis; contribute to the development of AI-powered FP&A workflows, reporting automation, and scalable processes that improve productivity across the finance team
- Administer the sales commission process, including calculation, reconciliation, and timely payment of commissions in partnership with Sales leadership and HR; ensure accuracy and maintain clear documentation of commission plans and payout history
