Clarify is looking for a Director, Customer Data Analytics to join Clarify’s Customer Data Integration team. The Customer Data Analytics Lead will provide analytical expertise and organizational leadership to ingest healthcare data feeds from customers and integrate them end-to-end through Clarify’s data platform. This person will play an integral role in communicating directly with our customer technical stakeholders, our Customer Implementation team, and providing leadership to our Customer Data Integration team. They will partner with the Customer Data Integration Engineering Lead to guide the team’s work, define and refine methodologies, and serve as an internal expert on end-to-end integration of customer data into Clarify’s platform. The Director, Customer Data Analytics will be responsible for a range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
- Leading complex customer data analytics cross-functional projects with senior-level internal and external stakeholders and serving as the internal point of contact for customer data integration
- Mentoring and training more junior members of the Customer Data Integration team
- Being the expert on where customer data originates, how they are mapped and utilized in our analytics, informatics, and products, and ultimately what value data delivers to our customers
- Mapping (defining ETL rules), analyzing, and interpreting claims and clinical data
- Synthesizing insights derived from customer data and understanding and proactively managing downstream product implications
- Collaborating with Data Testing and Quality manager to perform end-to-end QA using existing frameworks and/or identifying need for new tools
- Proposing, implementing and championing ideas for scaling data ingestion/analytics/QA capabilities
We are always looking for new team members who will add to our culture and have a strong passion for impact. In particular, the Customer Data Analytics Lead will have:
- 7-10 years of professional work experience, at least 2 years in healthcare analytics and 1-2 years in leadership/management
- Hands-on experience working with healthcare claims required; familiarity with episode groupers and claims-based predictions preferred
- Understanding of claims adjudication process in both fee-for-service and value-based care arrangements
- Familiarity with clinical coding systems such as ICD10 diagnosis codes, ICD10 procedure codes, CPT codes, revenue codes, NDC Rx codes, etc.
- Intermediate SQL querying skills and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading or participating in customer-facing interactions
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering and customer-facing teams) and leading without authority
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL mappings and similar documents to track data lineage and data transformation logic
- Experience leading data quality initiatives and participating in data and software development lifecycle preferred
