Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
You will be working closely with architects and product management to develop these solutions. The product development includes various technologies such as Java, K8, Docker, CICD, Jenkins, Spark, Kafka, and other services offered by OCI. You will be working with cross-functional teams to achieve business-critical goals while adhering to Oracle's security and compliance standards. Since we are at the very early stages of the project with many unknowns, you will need to build prototypes quickly to answer questions and make faster decisions.
Required Skills
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- Overall 8+ years of experience in software architecture, coding, development, and implementation.
- Must have expertise in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, Linux
- Must Have experience in Docker, Kubernetes, OCI, Jenkins, Terraform, Helm
- Must Have experience in building and designing microservices and cloud-native applications.
- Understanding of DevOps model, including extensive experience in building CI / CD models for developing and deploying cloud native applications.
- Knowledge and development background in web services or web-based technologies.
- Experience in streaming technologies (Kafka, etc.,) and Microservices architectures is essential.
- Experience developing or designing cloud-based services (e.g., SaaS, PaaS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent people leadership skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle changing priorities.
- In depth knowledge of software development methodologies, build tools and product life cycle; experience in agile development is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
