Assistant Development Manager- Real Estate

About the role

Job Purpose or Objective(s):  The Assistant Development Manager assists the development manager(s) in ensuring real estate development projects within a designated portfolio are completely installed and implemented according to approved timelines and within the set parameters set by the project stakeholders. You will report to the Development Manager.

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will manage project files and databases.

2.       Initiate conversations with stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables.

3.       Coordinate with internal departments such as Finance, Legal, and Procurement to ensure internal                          processes are followed. 

4.       Meet with stakeholders to gather information to define project tasks and resource requirements.

5.       You will read and interpret construction drawings and other job-related documentation.

6.       Assemble and evaluate project updates and planned deliverables and notable risks with                                           recommendations to the development manager.

7.       Develop project milestones and project plans to feed into the scopes of work

8.       Prepare meeting materials, including reports, presentations, and agendas

9.       Communicate with multiple levels of leadership within Choctaw Nation, Architects, Contractors, and                     vendors on real estate developments.

10.     Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.

11.      Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.

12.     Manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

13.     Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Architecture, or related field of study
  • Knowledge of real estate development and project management processes, workflow, and terminology
  • CAPM (Certified Assistant Project Manager) Certificate Preferred
  • General computer application proficiency
  • Understanding of construction drawings 
  • Two (2) years in a project management environment

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Architecture, or related field of study or 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of education
Knowledge of real estate development and project management processes, workflow, and terminology
General computer application proficiency
Understanding of construction drawings
Two (2) years in a project management environment
