Job Description:

Data is the heart of Cotality's business, and in this role, you will lead the team that makes vital decisions about all aspects of our data. The Data Stewardship Leader is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of an organization's data assets.

In Cotality, this role will oversee the enterprise data stewards responsible for our core data domains, known as data supply chains. Additionally, the data stewardship leader will serve as the enterprise- wide thought leader on best practices for stewarding data assets outside of the direct purview of Data & Analytics Management.  

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills related to data management. This role will work closely with the enterprise leads for data operations, data governance, and other data enablement functions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability in our core data supply chains

  • Oversee data from creation to archival or deletion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. 

  • Manage and monitor data access controls, permissions, usage rights and security measures to protect data integrity. 

  • Leverage data stewards’ expertise to partner with business segments strategy of revenue growth through strategic data partnerships that further increase the differentiation of Cotality data

  • Maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries in partnership with Data Governance. 

  • Work closely with various teams, including Technology, business users, data operations, data governance, and other data stewards, to promote data literacy and understanding. 

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. 

  • Profile and analyze data to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies. 

  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, implementing corrective actions and preventing recurrence. 

  • Provide training and education to staff on data stewardship principles, policies, and best practices. 

  • Performs regular and ad hoc reviews, audits, and investigations of data activity and integrity; prepares reports and summaries of findings.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred or Equivalent Experience in a Data Focused role.

  • Deep understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data security.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

  • 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or related fields.

  • Knowledge of relevant data regulations and industry standards.

  • Technical proficiency in data management tools and technologies.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to drive change and influence others.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 

Annual Pay Range:

129,600 - 180,000 USD
